Last week the
Cook Well Company of St. Louis, Mo. began sinking another 8 inch tubular well at
the water works. At this writing, they are sown 180 feet, and are nearly
at bottom.

The City Council have had a new 8 inch tubular well put down at the water
works plant at a cost of about $1,000. the work was done by the Cook Well
Co of St. Louis. This well which has a capacity of 6 3/4 gallons each
stroke, and the 7 inch well already in use, will give the people al the water
needed.
