Mrs. J. M. Stephenson died at her home in Fairfield, Ne., Wednesday March 25, 1896.

Julia M Laribee was born in 1822, in the state of New York. In 1840 she was married to Franklin Stephenson. They emigrated to this state in 1871, and have since resided here. Years ago in Iowa she became a member of the Christian church, and since coming here united with the Christian church of this place. She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom survive her, five daughters and four sons.
