Winnie Jenkins was born in Fairfield, Nebraska, May 30, 1884, and died in Fairfield, Monday, April 4, 1898, aged 13 years 10 months 4 days. Her health had been poor for 18 months, and she was confined to her bed 7 months. She was very patient during her illness. On Sunday night she called a neighbor, Mrs. Jones to her, and told her she was dying, she leaves an aged father and mother, six brothers and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held in the M E Church, conducted by Rev R N Orrill.
