  Rev J W Swan, state agt. of Children Aid Society of New York City will be in this city (Fairfield) next Thursday, June 23 with a company of orphan children who wish homes - Will meet at Opera House at 10 a.m.

  Rev J W Swan arrived yesterday with ten orphan children from New York.  They are a nice looking lot of children; and he will have little trouble finding homes for them.

Edward Beckingham, age 14 was placed with Wm R Dyas

Charles Bunte, age 13 was placed with Henry Godtel

Samuel Davis, age 10 was placed with Geo Miller

Clarence Bliss, age 11 was placed with Benj Royce

Presley Thorton Jenkins, age 4 1/2 was placed with John C Gregory

Margaret Miller, age 3 1/2 was placed with Mrs J J Whittier

Norris Marktesson was placed with John H Kamm

Harrison Abbey, age 10 was placed with Dr. A R Ray

Jon Dowe, age 7 was placed in the home for the friendless at Lincoln for the present.
